Café Mambo returns to Humber Bridge Country Park as Hull’s house scene proves its pull

Café Mambo Ibiza Classics in the Park returning to Humber Bridge Country Park for its third edition feels like one of those moments for Hull.

What started as a 1,500-capacity outdoor party has now grown to around 3,000 people, with extra stages, more local DJs and promoters involved, and a ticket map showing people travelling in from all over the UK. Not just Hull. Not just East Yorkshire. Scotland, Wales, the North West, the Midlands, London, the South Coast — the pull is clearly wider than the postcode.

For Hull, that matters.

Because this city has always had a serious relationship with house music. Long before Ibiza brands, festival staging and ticket heat maps, there were local promoters, DJs, clubs and dancefloors building the culture week by week. Terry Spamer and Deja Vu are a big part of that story. Over three decades of parties, reunions and daytime events have helped keep Hull’s house music community alive, visible and intergenerational.

The Café Mambo event does not sit outside that history. It grows from it.

That is why this third edition feels like more than a touring brand landing in a scenic location. It feels like Hull’s own scene proving it can hold a festival-scale moment. The Humber Bridge backdrop helps, of course. There are not many places in the UK where you can dance outdoors with that view behind you. But the reason it works is the crowd, the local trust, the promoters, and the fact Hull already has the audience for this music.

The 2026 line-up brings together international house names and local selectors, with Skiddle listing artists including Lovely Laura, Todd Terry, Graeme Park, Michael Gray, Barbara Tucker, Grant Nelson, Ben Santiago, Victor Simonelli, alongside a wider bill featuring local and regional DJs such as Lee Wright, Dean Baker, Lowey, US & THEM, Leo Deja Vu, Harry Turner, Coyne, Malt-B, Danny Eyles, Scott Night, Xzmpt, Bradley Cooper, Martin M, Reece Bird, Definite Grooves, Pav and Josh Watto.

This year’s event also shows the growth in ambition. Coverage of the wider Humber shoreline festival weekend notes a main stage, two additional stages, street food village and five bars across the site, turning the Country Park into a proper day-to-night festival setting. Hull’s culture is not only happening in galleries, theatres and traditional venues. It is happening on dancefloors, in parks, in pub backrooms, in community-led parties, and through promoters who have spent years building crowds without waiting for permission.
